The Rundown: The crew investigates a new location and brings back something dangerous with them.

Pearson finds herself dealing with more issues as the Absolution is stuck due to the power going into a diagnostic mode. She and the captain pay a visit to the engine room and discover that their proximity to their discovery could be part of the problem. Along the way, Pearson discovers that she is respected by the captain before going on a mission to take samples from the environment.
After returning to the ship, Pearson and Kate begin to remove the samples they took from the outside when Kate is attacked by a creature that attached itself to the ship. After fighting the creature off, the pair decontaminate, but one of them returns to do something unexpected with the sample they found.
The Story: Andry and Daniel create some interesting and unexpected moments in this follow up issue. I continue to enjoy the framing device used in the beginning of the issue and how it shows events unfolding. All of the characters are interesting and I continue to enjoy the growing and established conflicts throughout the story and how they contribute to the drama of the plot. I really enjoyed the monster reveal as well and was genuinely surprised by what happened at the end of the issue.
The Art: Sanchez delivers some beautiful, powerful and brilliantly detailed art throughout the issue. I really love the visual style of the issue and how it evokes and enhances the emotion of certain scenes.
